The Agent Behind Victor Jokorès’ Transfer to Arsenal Earns Over 4 Billion Won
The agent responsible for facilitating the transfer of Victor Jokorès (27) to Arsenal has secured a significant financial reward, with reports indicating that he will receive more than 4 billion won in brokerage fees.
According to sports media outlet ‘The Athletic’, Jokorès’ agent, Hasan Chetinkaya, reportedly waived part of his commission to help ease negotiations between Sporting and Arsenal. However, he did not completely forego his share of the deal. Chetinkaya is expected to receive 2.62 million euros (approximately 4.2 billion won) from Arsenal as a brokerage fee, which represents 4% of the fixed transfer fee of 65.7 million euros.
While the amount Chetinkaya could have earned was higher—up to 10% of the transfer fee, which would have been around 76 million euros including options—the agent reportedly chose to reduce his cut to support his client’s move to the team he desired and to lower the transfer fee requested by Sporting.
Chetinkaya is affiliated with HCM Sports Management, a prominent agency that also represents several high-profile footballers, including Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong, AS Monaco winger Magnes Aclioche, Real Madrid center-back Antonio Rudiger, and former Manchester United defender Victor Lindelöf.
