Over the past financial year, Tesolin reportedly earned $9 million in commissions, making him one of the most successful agents in the country. His wealth extends beyond his earnings, as he and his wife, Sophia, have accumulated a property portfolio valued at over $15 million. This includes a four-bedroom home in Bella Vista, purchased for $2.3 million in July 2021, and a five-bedroom house in Rozelle, which sold for $2.2 million in 2024. Additionally, they own two investment properties on the outskirts of Brisbane, acquired for a combined $789,000.
Tesolin’s luxury lifestyle is evident in his choice of vehicles and fashion. He drives a Bentley Bentayga, which starts at around $395,800, and has a preference for designer loafers from Gucci and Louis Vuitton, priced at $1,600 and $1,700 respectively. His wardrobe also includes custom suits, some of which are adorned with images of homes he has sold. At a conference in New Zealand, he wore a jacket lined with these images, showcasing his achievements in a unique way.
On his wrist, Tesolin wears a Rolex Day-Date, known as the ‘President’ model due to its association with influential figures such as U.S. Presidents and cultural icons like Michael Jordan and Jay-Z. Despite his extravagant habits, Tesolin maintains a playful side. He often wears bright, colorful socks with cartoon patterns, joking that they help him stay ‘relatable’ to his clients. In an interview with the One Life Club podcast in January 2024, he explained how his style breaks the ice and makes him more approachable. “Vendors often judge agents from the outside—assuming we’re arrogant or overly serious—but when I show up in Gucci shoes, a custom suit, and socks with flying pigs, it breaks the ice,” he said.
Tesolin’s achievements have been recognized by industry peers. In 2021, he was awarded the Number 1 Agent in Australia by RateMyAgent, a title he held for four consecutive years from 2020 to 2023. His wife serves as the office manager at Ray White Quakers Hill, where he is the owner and principal.
In April, Daily Mail Australia reported that Tesolin and his agency were at the center of an NSW Fair Trading investigation into underquoting and complaints. For the first time, Tesolin publicly acknowledged the investigation during a podcast interview with Adrian Bo. He stated that the agency had fully cooperated with the regulator, providing any requested files. “Anything the regulator has asked, whether it be 500 files… three files… we have completely complied with the regulator at every single stage,” he said.
A spokesperson for NSW Fair Trading confirmed that the investigation is ongoing. They stated that the Strata and Property Services Taskforce is examining Quakers Hill Ray White Real Estate and Josh Tesolin following compliance checks into underquoting and complaints. While no further details are available at this time, the inquiry is expected to conclude in the coming weeks.
